Row Level Security (RLS) ensures you can only access your own household's data
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
Passwords are never stored in plain text
Only authenticated users can access the application
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:
Household Members: Users you explicitly invite to your household can view your shared inventory data.
Service Providers: We use Supabase for database storage and Anthropic's Claude API for AI suggestions. These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Privacy Recommendations
For your personal safety, we strongly recommend:
Do not add high-value items such as jewelry, large amounts of cash, or expensive electronics
Do not include exact location details that could identify your home layout
Do not share your household invite code with people you do not trust
This app is for personal inventory reference only and should not replace insurance records
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Individual items can be deleted from within the app.
7. Children's Privacy
HomeVault is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
